Hire Me Out Seller Terms and Platform Agreement

Last Updated: Thursday, 3rd July 2025

This Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between HireMeOut.uk ("the Platform") and the undersigned individual or business entity ("the Seller"). By registering for a seller account and using the Platform to list properties or services, you agree to abide by the terms outlined herein.

1. Definitions

  • Platform: The website HireMeOut.uk and all associated services.
  • User: Anyone accessing or using the Platform (buyers or sellers).
  • Seller: A registered user who lists goods or services for rent or sale.
  • Buyer: A user who purchases goods or services via the Platform.
  • Stripe: Third-party payment processor used for transactions.
  • Commission: The percentage fee retained by the Platform from successful transactions.

2. Eligibility

  • Sellers must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering binding contracts.
  • The Seller affirms that they are the legal owner or authorised representative of listed properties or services.

3. Account Registration and Verification

3.1 Registration Requirements

  • Sellers must create an account and maintain accurate and up-to-date contact and listing information.
  • Confidentiality of login credentials is the Seller's responsibility.

3.2 Verification Requirements

To ensure trust and platform safety, the Platform may request confirmation of identity or property ownership. However, we aim to keep this process as simple and low-friction as possible, especially for private individuals.

You only need to complete one of the following ownership verification options:

Quick and Low-Involvement Options (Preferred):

- Email Confirmation from Park Manager/Site Office

Ask your park manager or site office to confirm your ownership or management role by sending an email to: info@hiremeout.uk. You can be copied in. A simple email template is available to make this easy.

- Photo or Video with Personalised Sign

Upload a clear image or short video of the property showing a handwritten sign with:

  "For hiremeout.uk – [Today’s Date]"

This confirms that the listing is genuine and recent, without needing personal documentation.

- Social Media or Existing Online Listing Link

If the property is already listed on a park’s Facebook group, holiday rental site, or other platform, share the link with us to cross-check it.

- Email from a Verified Park Domain

If you have access to an official park email (e.g. you@sunsetpark.co.uk), a message from that account can serve as verification.

Optional Alternatives (Only If Preferred):

If you prefer or need to submit documents instead, you may choose from:

- Site Fee Invoice or Confirmation Letter

A recent invoice or letter from the park showing your name and the property location. (You can blur out financial details if you wish.)

- Government-Issued Photo ID (Only required in rare cases)

We only request this if absolutely necessary—for example, in the event of a dispute, flagged listing, or missing verification.

Secure Submission Options:

You may send the chosen verification by:

- Email to info@hiremeout.uk

- Secure OneDrive Link – You may request a secure OneDrive folder instead of sending documents by email. All files are encrypted and protected using Microsoft’s industry-standard security protocols.

????️ Privacy First: We avoid asking for sensitive documents unless strictly necessary. Most users will be able to verify using one of the quick options above.
